Using the Chinese term for electric vehicles as a metaphor, New Energy explores
what drives creativity—not as a fixed force, but as something fluid, affective, and ever-shifting. At its core, the film follows two women who embody five fragmented stories, their roles and relationships changes as they drive through Shanghai’s sprawling metropolis.

Drawing from the visual language of fashion editorials, New Energy lingers in the terrain of style and mood: sensual, constructed, and performative. In this new project, the artist turns to fashion—a medium that exudes collective energy and a powerful sense of shared atmosphere - to create a temporary affinity between mediums, movements, and moods, assembling a poetic experience of creative and emotional mobility.

In a time overshadowed by the weight of destination, New Energy invites us to embrace the complexity of change and experience the lightness of being.
